Pitt Quits & 'Fountain' Breaks; New Projects Coming; Look Out 'Below'

October 6, 2002: And we're back! We have some bad news (that you've all probably heard) and some good news as well. Thanks to everyone who emailed us...we suck you guys rock!

THE FOUNTAIN.
It's been published just about everywhere: Brad Pitt decided to leave The Fountain, and the film collapsed. (The whole crew was ready to begin production and they are pissed at Pitt!) Brad decided to leave the film to star in Wolfgang Peterson's Troy motion picture. As you may remember, Aronofsky's Batman movie was put on hold for Peterson to do a Batman/Superman movie. Well, that film has died as well and that may open up room for...

BATMAN: YEAR ONE.
AICN reports that the death of The Fountain MIGHT mean that Darren will make his Bat-film soon, as opposed to after The Fountain, as was previously thought.
However, even though Batman: Year One seems likely, there are rumors floating around that Darren's next project will be a film called...

CHOKE.
A reader of Dark Horizons sent the website a story that Darren Aronofsky may be interested in filming an adaption of Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk's novel Choke. This story cannot be confirmed at this time, and the last sentence of the article even says, "sounds good, but don't hold your breath just yet".
As we anticipate what Darren's next directorial project will be, we can atleast enjoy...

BELOW.
You may be suprised at the lack of advertising for the film Below, co-written and executive produced by Aronofsky, and directed by Pitch Black helmer David Twohy, but it actually is coming out October 11. (Yes--this October 11) The website for the film is now up at BelowTheMovie.Com, and contains an awesome trailer that everyone needs to check out!

We have been away for too long and promise to be back! In fact, we will return very shortly, after we attempt to confirm what Darren's next project will be.

(Thanks to everyone who sent us the above info--there are too many names to print because we were away for so long, but please keep it up!)
