The Fountain At Comic-Con!

July 17, 2005: The Fountain wrapped filming a few months ago, although no release date has been set. Darren Aronofsky and Rachel Weisz attended the most recent San Diego Comic-Con for a Q&A panel about the film last Friday (July 15). Our buddy 'Pat P' has linked us up with a bunch of coverage surrounding...

THE FOUNTAIN.
Aint It Cool News has the most indepth story, and you all should certainly check out their report. They do shed some light as to why no release date has been announced when they quote Aronofsky as saying, "Warner Bros doesn't know what the hell to do with this film."

Additionally, Sign On San Diego (in their brief report) quotes Aronofsky as claiming, "they keep telling me at Warner Bros. that it's too weird."

This pretty much goes with what Aronofsky.Net has been hearing lately from our 'trusted insiders' as to the lack of a release date. It seems the studio is trying to figure out exactly how to market this film.

Also, IGN has a Comic-Con report worth checking out.

In some non-Comic-Con updates, we want to let you know that 'Daniel Robert Epstein' has let us know that Newsarama has a story/interview about The Fountain graphic novel.

Lastly, the ever impressive Jackman's Landing website has some news pics.
